Who is the Omaha String Quartet?

The Omaha String Quartet is made up of four professional string players in the Omaha area.  All four are core members of the Omaha Symphony Orchestra, and are very experienced, professional musicians.

What time will you arrive? 

We will arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your prelude music, which begins 30 minutes prior to your ceremony.

What set up do you need?

All we require are four chairs without arms.  Please inform us if the ceremony will have dim lighting, as we will bring lights.

Will the String Quartet come to my rehearsal?

No, the Omaha String Quartet does not attend rehearsals. 

Will you play at an outdoor event?

Yes, but only if there is a covering to protect our instruments from direct sun.

Will you accompany my vocalist?

We will accompany a vocalist for an extra fee.  Each case is subject to negotiation.  Should this be the case, we will arrive 15 minutes early, to rehearse the vocalists’ selection(s).

How should I coordinate my music selections for my ceremony?

We will gladly provide you with a list of common music used during different parts of the wedding ceremony.  We should be notified of your choices two weeks prior to your ceremony.

Will you play my special request?

We evaluate special requests on a case by case basis, and will attempt to make your request possible.  Should your request not fall in the standard string quartet literature an additional fee may be required to hire an arranger.  A minimum of six weeks is required for this extra service.

How is payment handled?

We require a $150 deposit to reserve your time slot.  The remaining balance is due in full two weeks prior to your event.  All payment is handled through our agent, Thompson Music.  We cannot accept checks made out to Omaha String Quartet.
